I love Pittsburgh

Paul, Bill, and I went out on the town last night.  They met me downtown after work, then we walked over to the CLO Cabaret.  We ate at the bar and listened to some live music.  The music was great.  The food was fantastic.  Then we went in to see the show.

Triple Espresso is playing through January, and it was incredibly fun.  It’s about a three-man comedy group and how they almost made it big 25 years ago.  There’s singing, piano playing, dancing, slow motion running, a guy acting like a gorilla, shadow puppets, and magic tricks.  And more!

If you go, and if you live in Pittsburgh, you really should, be prepared to laugh and have a great time.  Seriously.  Also, nice thing about the CLO Cabaret, you can order drinks, appetizers, and desserts before the show and during intermission.  The cookies are pretty damn good.  And they have a sparkling wine that you can get by the glass that’s quite nice.  ^_^

And yesterday was Light Up Night, and the fireworks were just getting started as the show let out.  We stood on a street corner and watched them.  I love fireworks, and these were pretty awesome.  Then, we drove around downtown a bit, saw the big tree by the courthouse and some other decorations around the city (including a dinosaur dressed up as Harry Potter) and then we headed home.

It was, overall, a wonderful night.
