Haircut!

I got a haircut!  My hair is now shorter than it’s been since high school, and it was only shorter once, then.

I finished the scarf I was working on this week.  I’m really pleased with it.  It’s black and gold, both Steelers colors and Hufflepuff colors.  ^_^  I made it to be a Hufflepuff scarf, but since I do live in Pittsburgh I’ll fit in well.

Tonight, I’m going to Lex Covato‘s show, "A Mind’s Eye: Abstraction to Absurdity" at the C Space Collective Gallery.  If you’re going to be around Pittsburgh, you should check it out.  She’s an awesome artist and a super cool person, besides.

Also, my story "Journal of an Artist" is up at A Fly in Amber.

My friend Dan and I are going to drive up to my old kung fu school next Wednesday.  If it works out, we’re going to try to go at least every other week.  It’s a lot of driving for a two hour class (about 2.5 hours on the road, probably) but it might be worth it.  It’s a great school with great people, and I’ve missed going pretty terribly.  Plus, I need to do something to get back in shape.  I have problems just motivating myself, it’s always easier when I have a scheduled commitment.  And, as an added bonus, I’ll get to see my mom!
