![]() Between April 23rd and April 27th, I gave away 263 ebook copies of One Revolution to people in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe.
![]() The Kindle version of One Revolution is free on Amazon.com this week. Today is Paul's birthday, and Friday is my birthday, so I decided to use my free ebook days to celebrate. You can read the book on your kindle or other device, and you can purchase it to read in a browser. Since the book is free, I don't get any royalty payments, but I'm hoping that the increased visibility will help out future sales, and maybe introduce my work to some new fans. If you enjoy the collection, I hope you'll consider reviewing it on Amazon or Goodreads (or both, or somewhere else). If you did pick up the book for free and love it, and are looking for a way to support me, you can always order a paperback copy or toss me a few bucks on PayPal. ^_^
![]() I watched two really fun science fiction movies in the past month or so. The science fiction elements in both movies are slight, and they are both a lot of fun. Emma Caulfield (Anya from Buffy) stars in Timer. People can have devices implanted on their wrists that will count down till they meet thier soul mate. The main character's timer is blank because her soul mate doesn't have a timer implanted. Her sister's timer still has another ten years to count down. Neither of them deal with their love life very well. The movie explores love and choice, and even though the ending wasn't the one I was rooting for, it still works and feels true to the story. In Safety Not Guaranteed the main character is an intern at a city magazine. She and her small team go to find out more about a classified ad looking for a time-travel companion. The movie wasn't what I expected, but it was a lot of fun, and the ending was perfect.
![]() I had four stories come out this month! You can read "River Dragon's Curse" online at NewMyths.com! You can also read my story "Robot Heaven" in After Death, my story "Losing Home" in Penumbra's Lost Issue, and my story "Unforseen Consequences" in Bards and Sages Quarterly. Check them out!
![]() My story "To Maintain the Balance" is now available to read for free at Daily Scicene Fiction! People like it! You should go read it. ^_^
![]() I'm still working on getting the ebook formatted, but the print version of One Revolution is now avaialbe to purchase on Amazon. The final story goes live tomorrow. It's been an amazing year, and I appreciate everyone's support. Please think about purchasing the book if you don't already have a copy! (Or if you do have a copy--I'm sure it'll make a great gift!) Tell your friends, tell your family. ^_^ And again, thank you.
![]() Dark Tales of Lost Civilizations is up for the Stoker Award! And Hills of Fire: Bare Knuckle Yarns of Appalachia is up for the Appalachian Book of the Year Award! They both contain short stories by me! You should totally check them out. |
