Bliggity Blog

My first official blog post of the new schedule.  Now I get to ramble about all of the details of my life.  It’s exciting.  I know.  O_o

I got new glasses yesterday.  They’re pretty sharp.  And I can also see better.  It’s very exciting.

I had lunch with my friend Betsy on Wednesday.  We’ve known each other since high school, and I hadn’t seen her in over a year.  An hour isn’t really enough time to catch up, but it was nice.  I’m glad that I got to see her while she was in town.

I’ve been watching Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon with Kass.  It’s the live action version of the show, and I’m absolutely adoring it.  I have a tendency to get a little obsessive about shows that I really get into, and Kass and I have been powering through it.  For those of you who don’t know, Sailor Moon is about a team of middle school girls who are reincarnations of a princess and her soldiers from the Moon Kingdom long ago.  They fight demons and stand opposed to a great evil that they also faced in their previous lives.  There’s romance and drama and karoke.  How could it not be awesome?

I’ve also been watching Farscape on my laptop at work through Netflix.  (My job involves a lot of sitting around and free wifi.)  I’m three episodes from the end of the first season.  The real villain has just been introduced.  It’s great.

Paul is running a Buffy the Vampire Slayer game for me, Kass, and Dan.  We played our first session last night.  It was a lot of fun.  My character is the clown of the group.  I was worried about having to be funny, but I think I managed it.  I’m pretty pleased with myself.

I bought yarn yesterday to make into a Hufflepuff scarf.  Linda’s planning on having a Harry Potter party when the new movie comes out, and I think I should dress up.  And not only is Hufflepuff awesome (it is, shut up) but they’re also Steelers colors, so I’ll fit right in in the city.

If it’s not raining too hard tomorrow, Paul and I are hoping to go to the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival.  We’ve got the last couple of years, and it’a always fun.  Then on Sunday, we’re going to a family picnic at my grandma’s house.  My Aunt Vicky is in town, and I’m looking forward to seeing her.

My writing is a little slow at the moment.  I’m having trouble getting motivated and staying focused.  I’m hoping that the website restructuring will help out with that.  I’ve been feeling a little burnt out.

Even with the writing issues, life is good at the moment.  Both of my jobs are going pretty well, it’s my favorite season, and my friends are awesome.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
